Will Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan come together to endorse ROYAL fashion?

‘);
});

The fact that we don’t see Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan sharing screen space on the big screen may be a tad bit disappointing for the fans. But the royal couple has another intriguing deal up their sleeve, according to recent reports. And it is said to be for endorsing royal fashion or rather fashion inspired by Indian royalty.

Will Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan come together to endorse ROYAL fashion?

Recent reports suggest that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be coming together to endorse ethnic wear for a designer brand. These outfits will be inspired from the royal lineage or rather the royal Indian gharanas and will offer a wide range of traditional wears. Although further details on the brand and deal are kept under wraps, reports state that the idea has piqued the interest of the royal couple.

If these reports are to be believed, the wide range was initially supposed to be designed for men’s clothing and the collection was apparently titled The House of Pataudis. However, later, it was reportedly expanded into women’s clothing line as well. As for approaching Saif and Kareena, it is not only true that Saif is the Nawab of Pataudi but yet another fact about the power couple is that they are known for their sense of style and glamour. Hence, we hear that they were the obvious choice to endorse the brand.

Furthermore, sources in these reports have also been quoted stating that the designs will tap the unexplored territories of Indian royalty and will make use of fabrics from varied regions, ranging from Punjab to Rajasthan to even South India. As for the collection, we hear that it will release in the market only in the second half of the year.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have by far not made any announcement on this front. However, Saif has commented in recent reports stating that everyone will get to know about all the details in good time and only once everything is confirmed.

Jason David Frank Reacts To Vin Diesel’s Casting As Bloodshot

Superhero movies and comic book adaptations have quickly become the most popular genre in filmmaking. Between the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Extended Universe, and X-Men franchise, there are new superhero blockbusters being released every few months. Aside from the behemoth franchises, there are also smaller passion projects coming from lesser known comic book characters. One of these is the upcoming Bloodshot movie, based off the Valiant Comics character of the same name. OG Green Power Ranger Jason David Frank had been vying for the role for years, playing Bloodshoot on Valiant’s recent web series Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe. When stopping by CinemaBlend’s shooting suite at San Diego Comic-Con, Frank told me how he felt about Diesel getting the role, saying:

Well, that’s a serious bummer. After playing Bloodshoot and being the character’s biggest cheerleader for mainstream success in the past few years, Valiant Comics ultimately ended up picking a bigger name to carry the Bloodshot movie. Vin Diesel is a great choice all things considered, with a massive action-heavy audience at his disposal thanks to The Fast and the Furious franchise and voicing Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Jason David Frank may forever be Power Rangers‘ biggest icon Tommy Oliver, the actor/martial artist does want to play different characters. Given his athletic ability and experience playing Bloodshoot in the Valiant webseries, he seems like the perfect person to play Raymond Garrison on the silver screen. But studios like to cast names, and Vin Diesel’s no doubt carries a bit more weight, despite JDF’s ability to trigger nostalgic feelings with 90s kids everywhere.

In our same conversation, Jason David Frank mentioned how Vin Diesel’s upcoming role might actually help the Power Rangers alum. Because if the movie is big, fans will no doubt want more of the white skinned badass, therefore hopefully inspiring them to check out Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe. Plus he wants a cameo. As Frank told me,

That’s certainly a good way to look at it. Because Jason David Frank will always be royalty for the comic-con crowd, Vin Diesel’s movie still has the potential to reintroduce him to mainstream audiences. Or it will be a flop, and then Tommy Oliver will be able to wash his hands clean of the project.

You can check out my full conversation with Jason David Frank about Bloodshot below.

Although you can sense Jason David Frank’s disappointment in that video, he seems to have a good attitude about the Bloodshot situation. He’s been in show business for years now, so the former Power Ranger understands how the cookie crumbles. Even if he’s not happy about it.

Check out our 2018 release list to plan your next trip to the movies. Bloodshot will reportedly arrive sometime in 2020, hopefully with Jason David Frank at least having a cameo a la his brief appearance in the recent Power Rangers movie.

Dhadak Lifetime Prediction: Here’s how we think this Janhvi Kapoor – Ishaan Khatter film would fare at the Box-Office!

‘);
});

Dhadak starring Ishaan Katter and Janhvi Kapoor has started well at the Box-Office as the film raked in Rs 8.71 crore thereby emerging the biggest opener of all time for a debutant film. The reviews from the critics are quite mixed, with average rating falling in the range of 2.5 to 2.75 stars, however the audience review more or less seems to be on the positive side. Having said that, the audience response isn’t extraordinary either, which means that it would be difficult for it to make an entry in the coveted Rs. 100 crore club. Simply stating, the word of mouth of the film is just about “Good”.

Dhadak Lifetime Prediction: Here’s how we think this Janhvi Kapoor – Ishaan Khatter film would fare at the Box-Office!

While a section of masses felt that the climax of the film was disjoint that leads to an abrupt ending, there are quite a lot of people who were left shocked by the climax. There is also a section of audience in Maharashtra who are comparing the film with Sairat, however they are in the minority and there is a huge chunk of audience in India who have not watched the Marathi classic.

The initial audience reaction is quite good which is a positive sign for the film, and it is almost certain to emerge the biggest grossing new-comer film by surpassing the lifetime collections of films like Student of The Year (Rs.70 crore) and Heropanti (Rs.55 crore). Dhadak isn’t a run of the mill romantic comedy that appeals primarily to the metros, and this the sole reason why the film is doing good business at the mass circuits like Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP/Bihar.

The target audience of Dhadak for the weekend were the youth, however as the word of mouth spreads more and more female audience would visit the theatres on the weekdays, thereby helping the film sustain in the long run. Dhadak is currently eyeing at weekend collections in the range of Rs 30 to 32 crore, and the real test would begin from Monday. Anything above the Rs 5.25 crore mark would be considered a good hold for the film and result in a healthy lifetime total. Dhadak is an economically sound film, and a hit verdict is more or less assured.

Given the initial word of mouth, movie should ideally trend at 2.5x to 2.75x the opening weekend. As things stand currently, a weekend of Rs 30 crore is expected and taking 2.5x to 2.75x as the base, the lifetime collections of Dhadak will be in the range of Rs 75 crore to 83 crore. The film has a clean run at the Box-Office till the Independence Day releases i.e. Gold and Satyameva Jayate takeover majority of the screens. The only competition for Dhadak in the next few weeks is Mission Impossible: Fallout, which would take away a reasonable chunk of screens in the metros. However, the target audience of Dhadak is totally different from Mission Impossible: Fallout.

What do you think will be the lifetime collections of Dhadak? Let us know in the comments section below.

State-Actors Likely Behind Singapore Cyber-Attack: Experts

State-actors were likely behind Singapore’s biggest ever cyber-attack to date, security experts say, citing the scale and sophistication of the hack.

The city-state announced Friday that hackers had broken into a government database and stolen the health records of 1.5 million Singaporeans, including Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong who was specifically targeted in the “unprecedented” attack.

Singapore’s health minister said the strike was “a deliberate, targeted, and well-planned cyber-attack and not the work of casual hackers or criminal gangs”.

While officials refused to comment on the identity of the hackers citing “operational security,” experts told AFP that the complexity of the attack and its focus on high-profile targets like the prime minister pointed to the hand of a state-actor.

“A cyber-espionage threat actor could leverage disclosure of sensitive health information… to coerce an individual in (a) position of interest to conduct espionage” on its behalf, said Eric Hoh, Asia-Pacific president of cybersecurity firm FireEye.

Hoh told national broadcaster Channel NewsAsia that the attack was an “advanced persistent threat.”

“The nature of such attacks are that they are conducted by nation states using very advanced tools,” he said. “They tend to be well resourced, well-funded and highly sophisticated.”

Healthcare data is of particular interest to cyber-attackers because it can be used to blackmail people in positions of power, said Jeff Middleton, chief executive of cybersecurity consultancy Lantium.

“A lot of information about a person’s health can be gleaned from the medications that they take,” Middleton told AFP Saturday.

“Any non-public health information could be used for extortion. Russian spy services have a long history of doing this,” he added.

Medical information, like personal data, can also be easily monetised on criminal forums, said Sanjay Aurora, Asia Pacific managing director of Darktrace.

“Beyond making a quick buck, a more sinister reason to attack would be to cause widespread disruption and systemic damage to the healthcare service – as a fundamental part of critical infrastructure — or to undermine trust in a nation’s competency to keep personal data safe,” he told AFP.

Hyper-connected
Wealthy Singapore is hyper-connected and on a drive to digitise government records and essential services, including medical records which public hospitals and clinics can share via a centralised database.

But authorities have put the brakes on these plans while they investigate the cyber-attack. A former judge will head an inquiry looking into the incident.

Singapore officials have cautioned against jumping to conclusions about the attackers.

“With regard to the prime minister’s data and why he was targeted, I would say that it’s perhaps best not to speculate what the attacker had in mind,” said David Koh, head of Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency.

The hackers used a computer infected with malware to gain access to the database between June 27 and July 4 before administrators spotted “unusual activity”, authorities said.

While Singapore has some of the most advanced military weaponry in the region, the government says it fends off thousands of cyber-attacks every day and has long warned of breaches by actors as varied as high-school students in their bedrooms to nation states.

Earlier this month US intelligence chief Dan Coats described Russia, China, Iran and North Korea as the “worst offenders” when it came to attacks on American “digital infrastructure”.

Bharat: Disha Patani INJURES herself whilst training for stunts

‘);
});

Earlier, we had mentioned that Disha Patani is kicking off the training for Bharat. The actress, even though will not be seen as the leading lady, has an integral role in the film. We had also maintained that she will be playing a trapeze artist in the film. Keeping that in mind, she will be seen performing many stunts in the film and whilst training for it, Disha suffered a major injury.

Bharat Disha Patani INJURES herself whilst training for stunts

Recent reports suggest that Disha Patani, who was taking gymnastic lessons to perform the stunts of the film, sprained her knees. During one of the practice sessions, the actress injured herself and will now be undergoing physiotherapy. She has also been advised by her doctors to stay away from excessive physical activity. However, there have been no further details of whether the actress will be continuing shooting for the film despite her injury.

Speaking of her role, it was earlier being said that Disha is expected to showcase some of her daredevilry as a part of the role. The actress is said to play a character, who is a part of the circus troupe, and hence will be seen doing some mind-blowing stunts like playing with fire etc. Some of her high octane stunts may also require pyrotechnics.

It was also being said that international trainers from abroad were invited to India to help Disha Patani train for her role in Bharat. While she will be sharing screen space with Salman Khan for the first time in this Ali Abbas Zafar directorial, it is yet to be seen if she will have scenes with the leading lady of the film Priyanka Chopra.

Bharat, which is the remake of the Korean drama Ode To My Father, is expected to kick off with a massive circus sequence in the next few days. It is being said that the actress is hoping to recover by then to attend the mahurat shot with Salman Khan. The film is slated to release during Eid next year.

What Does James Gunn’s Firing Mean For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3?

We fully expect the week of San Diego Comic-Con to be a time for big news about major franchises, but nobody was quite expecting this. It’s being reported that Disney has severed all ties with James Gunn following the recent resurfacing of a collection of tweets he wrote several years ago in which he made jokes regarding some very unfunny topics. While this obviously means that James Gunn will no longer be directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, this decision could ultimately change the franchise, and by association, the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, in some pretty major ways.

What we know about the current state of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is that James Gunn had already submitted the first draft of the script to Marvel. Therefore, the first question becomes, what happens to this script? Does Disney’s decision to cut ties with Gunn mean that they won’t use the script that’s already been completed? It’s possible they could start the film from scratch in order to be sure no trace of Gunn is associated with the movie. Of course, there’s some question about whether or not the film has enough time to do that. Guardians Vol. 3 was expected to drop in 2020, likely in early May. That gives a new screenwriter less than a year to write a new movie in order to begin filming in time to make that date.

Even if Disney does decide to keep Gunn’s script as it is, it’s highly unlikely that Marvel will be 100% happy with the first draft. No writer gets everything right the first time. That means rewrites, and those rewrites will absolutely be handled by somebody else. These changes could be minor, but if, for example, Marvel takes issue with the way the current script ends, any rewrite would significantly change where things go from here and almost certainly in a way different than how James Gunn would handle it.

Even if the plot doesn’t change, the flavor certainly well, if only because any other writer will have different taste in 70s pop music.

From there, the movie needs a new director. A cast that has now made four movies together will have to work with somebody totally new. While Gunn may not have directed the new Avengers films, he was still very much involved in making the Guardians work in those movies. Will this new person fit in well with the existing cast and crew? Will the actors be as comfortable with this new director or will they have trouble working and taking direction from somebody new? Even if Marvel finds a replacement who is skilled, it’s possible any replacement will have trouble picking up this franchise. Any new director will also have a different vision of the material.

James Gunn had previously stated that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be the end of the road for the current iteration of the Guardians, but we have no idea what that means. Was Gunn planning on having some characters die or leave the team? Rewrites could end up changing where any character actually finds themselves at the end of the movie, which will, in turn, change where they can go in the future.

While Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently set to be the official beginning of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we know that a lot will change after Avengers 4. Marvel has made no secret about the fact that the MCU will take on a more cosmic focus, and that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was going to play a huge part in that. If the movie changes drastically without James Gunn at the helm, how will those changes in turn change where Phase 4 goes from here?

Of course, there is one other, fairly drastic, but worth asking, question. Will there even be a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? It may seem crazy, and it’s certainly unlikely, but one way Marvel could deal with this the issues it now has to consider is to scrap the entire idea. Depending on how the Guardians are left at the end of Avengers 4 the film might not be strictly necessary from a storytelling standpoint. Avengers: Infinity War brought the characters to very different places and one expects the next Avengers film will take them even further. Maybe that place will be a good enough ending for this team and Marvel just decides to move on.

We’ll never really know how things will change from here because we’ll now never see what would have been. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will almost certainly happen, but what it will look like is anybody’s guess.

What Dave Bautista Says About James Gunn Losing Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

Earlier today, the movie world was rocked by the news about James Gunn being removed from Marvel Studios’ upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It was a hugely surprising move that seemingly came out of nowhere, and as a result there are hundreds of questions floating around. Ultimately it will take days, weeks, and months to get all of the answers, but on the subject of how Gunn’s cast feels about the move, at the very least we now know Dave Bautista’s thoughts on the matter:

Most of the Guardians of the Galaxy castmembers have yet to make any public statement about the James Gunn firing (Pom Klementieff notably cancelled interviews at San Diego Comic-Con this afternoon), however Dave Bautista broke that silence earlier today with a post on his official Twitter page. It’s a message of unwavering support for the filmmaker – at the same time recognizing that he is a flawed human being, like any of us – and is very direct with his opinion of the situation. In short, the man best known as Drax The Destroyer is definitely not happy that one of his favorite filmmakers has been fired from one of his upcoming projects.

Obviously we’ll have to wait for more official comments to roll in from actors like Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff, but it’s hard to imagine any of them having opinions on James Gunn‘s firing that differ from what Dave Bautista had to say about the situation. Existing in its own special corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy created a special little family with the actors Gunn brought together, and many of the stars saw their careers completely change as a result of the project. Let’s not forget that Bautista wasn’t really taken seriously as an actor before taking on the role of Drax (something that has changed entirely), and before Star-Lord, Pratt was basically just known for being the chubby goofball on Parks and Recreation. In addition to making two wonderful movies that sing with his unique voice, Gunn legitimately changed lives with his comic book adaptations, and one can assume those individuals will eventually go to bat for him.

While it’s unclear exactly what kind of impact the opinion of the actors will have on this whole situation, it is an extremely important factor in the future development of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. If the cast on the whole winds up being unilaterally supportive of James Gunn, that should make it extremely difficult for Disney and Marvel to try and find a filmmaker to replace him. Not only that, it’s notable that Sean Gunn – James Gunn’s brother – has a super important role in the franchise, not only playing the Ravager known as Kraglin, but doing the on-set motion capture work for Rocket Raccoon. There may be a serious behind-the-scenes conflict that erupts as a result of this situation, and there are going to be a lot of eyes on it between now and the movie’s expected start of production at the start of next year.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 doesn’t have an official release date yet, but it has been confirmed that the movie will come out some time in 2020. We will obviously continue to follow this story very closely, so stay tuned here on CinemaBlend for the latest updates.
